I have installed the MaxiDas DS708 PC Suite on my windows 7 Machine twice, now on a XP machine. It won't open on either unit. When initially clicke on, I got a message from window security if I wanted this program to be unblocked. I clicked on unblocked and the program promptly closed. Any help would be appreciated.

click on start the windows logo, then type firewall on the search bar and hit enter, on the next screen you will see whats being allow or denied for os 7. on xp go to start control panel fire wall, exception and just mark the box and hit ok.  if that doesn't work disable antivirus

I have it allowed with the firewall. It won't open with the desk top icon. I found that it will open by clicking on the printer icon on the task bar. I have tried a test print and it worked. I can't get it to print from the DS708 though. It says trying to connect to the printer server and then I get the error message, "cant find server, please check your network! I have a strong connection to the wireless router.

the computer you installed the printer software, the printer and maxidas, maxisys must all be on and connected to the network for printing to work.

It is my personal pc and I am the administror, all systems are tethered to the wireless router. the printer is hardwired to the PC. Does this have to go through the VNC software?. I tried plugging in the ip address into the VNC remote desktop with no success.

If it has to go through the VNC remote desk, then it should show a server in the server window. Like I wrote before, I tried plugging in IP adresses with no success. The way I understand it, the Maxidas connects to the PC via VNC remote desktop and then the PC can print from the file on VNC. Any help is appreciated

this is a fix from( member fware) see if this helps

Check that your new WiFi device supports the 54 Mbts (g) standard and that the g is enabled.

Most new WiFi devices run in n mode (300 Mbts) by default. But the 708 does not support this speed. Result is that you can see the network but you cannot connect. Same issue I have with my Mac Mini...
